Matt Kaplin 7/23/57-11/27/10

We mourn the loss of half of the Illustrated Rat team. A large chunk of my soul has been taken away.

Dianne Hammond said...: Dru, My heart shriveled to nothing when I heard Matt was ill. Then if fell out of my chest when I read he had passed. He was a beautiful man with a spirit to match.

Somehow written words just don't feel like they are enough. My heart tells me he is snuggling with ALL the ratties and other pets that went before.

His work & his actions touched many, & he left such a positive influence on the world for a species so overlooked & under appreciated. His work & spirit will continue to touch the lives of so many, & I pray that there is some comfort in that knowledge.
