Something New: Bristol Board

This is something new for me: gouache on Bristol Board. This is a medium weight paper, very smooth and very absorbent. The feel is quite different (to me anyway) than the watercolor paper I've been using but I really like it. I was concentrating less on getting the likeness than on getting the feel of the paper.

The Doctor's Secret Companion

We know about the Doctor's human companions, but who's to say he had some we never knew about. I came upon Doctor Who relatively recently, and, like everyone it seems, fell in love with it. I became a major Matt Smith fan. This is done as a gift for someone.
